Bride, Groom, and a Struggle

Is it a coincidence that "Bride & Groom" caricature exhibition to be held in the "Word" Hall? Does this shrewd objective coincidence really mean to hold a competition between the abilities of pictures and those of words?
It seemed so with the works of Makhlouf presenting diverse viewpoints in a nimble comic smart figures depending only on the power of figures and colors, paralleling, contradicting or mixing them. You easily hear the drawings speak fluently and tell you funny things that criticize the concepts of marriage. You can't but admire his gentle objectivity in his artistic criticism. He attacks the girlish fantasies about marriage as well as the malechauvinist attitude regarding it.
You'll find the bride that dresses her groom the superman suit in her imagination, the bride that doesn't care if she puts her hand in the arm of a humble scarecrow, or that one that looks victorious with flowers in her hand while her groom is hanged behind her. Meanwhile, you'll find a foxy-looking groom holding a bride-doll in his hand, another savage one that is in clear contrast to his little sweet bride, or that old man holding a young veiled soul- broken bride. There is also that drawing which is divided into three sections : the bride, the groom, and the marriage official; the three are speaking in their cell phones giving you the air of deciding a trade deal.
On the other hand, Mustafa Salem presented his caricature with too long comments of the caricature characters or comments upon them which are actually known jokes and comments that tackle harassment, plastic surgeries and involve a lot of sexual implements or declarations sometimes.
Does the word help here? Does it provide the picture with a new dimension or just it diminishes the eloquence of the figures? Does the artist here help his audience to get what he wants to convey? Or he doubts their ability of understanding and elaborates the joke too much to the degree that it looses its taste and effect?
